STUDENT WELFARE


Students living and studying in a new country can at times, and especially at the outset, feel homesick and anxious.
We are happy to help any student experiencing difficulties in getting used to living in the UK. We want to make sure that your stay with us is both enjoyable and rewarding.
 

Airport transfers
We can arrange for students to be met at any of the London airports, Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, Stansted or City, and then taken to their host family. Please advise well in advance if you require this service – It normally costs in the region £40 - £60.00. This can be shared with others in the the Taxi Cab.

Student Support
Our reception staff are available to provide advice and assistance for matters such as, student visa applications, Joining local fitness centres, community groups and facilities, Finding a GP (Doctor), Finding accommodation, Finding a job, Getting National Insurance number, Getting a bank account, Joining a University or College, Joining a Library.

ISIC Cards
Our school can arrange for the issue of the ISIC (International Student Identity Card) enabling reductions on many aspects of student life such as entertainment, travel and leisure activities. (This is only available to full time-students enrolling for a minimum 26 weeks study

Placement Test
It is vital that every student is placed into the appropriate level of class. All new students before starting their studies are asked to complete a short entry test so that we can assess their level of grammar, vocabulary, speaking and listening comprehension skills.

Student Travel Card
If you enrol for a fulltime course (more than 15 hours per week) and longer than 14 weeks, you may qualify for a Transport for London Discount card. This will allow you to get up to 30% off the cost of travel in and around London.

Council Tax
Students who enrol on our course for any amount of time, provided it is the fulltime course may be able to apply for council tax reductions.

Certificate of Achievement
Only students who have completed their course level can receive a certificate. However, we can issue a letter to confirm that the student attended the course.
Office must be informed 24hrs beforehand when requiring documents.
