London is over 2000 years old, yet its atmosphere is always changing; from Victorian era buildings in Farringdon to the famous Gherkin in Aldgate.
It is now recognised as the main bridge between the old Europe and the new west.


London has become such a great attraction that millions of people from around the world come to visit; many even settling in and finding jobs.

TRAVEL
London has the most extensive underground system in the world – you can travel anywhere in London.
London has some of the most competitive airlines in the world with
EuroStar services operate from here – London to Paris in less than 2 hours.
The cheapest way to travel is with an Oyster Card. Top up with £3.40 and you can travel around London all day via buses.



ENTERTAINMENT
London has more theatres than any other city in the World. There are also many concert venues as well as cinemas and street entertainment.



SHOPPING
Oxford Street and Covent Garden are the most popular place to spend a day out buying new clothes.
For a very alternative atmosphere - visit Camden Town, the home of outrageous fashion.

Shepherds Bush now has one of the greatest shopping centres: Westfield.
 

EATING OUT
There are many fabulous places to eat out, from top-notch restaurants to spend the evening in, to casual cafés for a snack break on a day out. You can find anything, from Chinese buffets to steak houses, or Japanese cuisines to finest Italian pizzas.
